A Salzburg Afternoon
We try to not let work get into the way of life too often, but it does sometimes. So our apologies about being quiet this past week.
Friday morning, we caught a regional express train to Salzburg. I’ve wanted to take Peichi there since my first Europe trip in 2005.
The day was chilly and Salzburg by the train station seemed drastically changed these past 7 years. As we finally made our way towards the Salzach River after going under the railway tracks, I began to recognize landmarks.
We were both excited to get away for the day. The calm walking around readily kept us smiling. We didn’t try to see everything, in fact, it was a meandering walk up to Hohensalzburg Castle and back along a parallel route to the train station.
We felt no concern to rush and the pace was great. We found a good Turkish grocery store with a liverwurst sandwich for only 1.70€ and a kilo of dried dates for 3.69€. Yum to them both.
We hope you enjoy the photos.

I love the picture of you two with Salzburg in the back ground.

Mom, Sorry about missing this comment. Peichi and I like the photo as well. We’re now trying to figure out more spots in Austria to visit.
