Biking Taiwan: Northern Cross-北橫 November 28-30, 2009

Ah… yet another weekend of riding beautiful Taiwan over the Northern Cross, highway 7 between Sansia and Yilan. This trip was a bit wetter with Saturday morning rain, late Sunday morning pea-soup and Monday morning pours. I guess, 10 long trips worth of perfect weather finally ended.

In taking photos for this trip, I focused on fellow rider than the usual countryside. I really like the results and will do more of the same on future rides.

Thanks for the ride Michael T, Michael F, Kenji, Jeff M, Zeb and newcomer Todd A. I’m looking forward to another ride with you all.

PS: My new Fujifilm A170 camera was dropped while riding the slick roads below Mingchih. It still works but zoom and close is broken. Any recommendations for a lightweight neck strap to help prevent this from happening again?

  1. Nice to finally meet you Michael. I was at work on Monday morning wishing I was still riding with you guys on the final leg of your journey out off Jiaoxi. Great pics!

  2. Enjoyed these pictures, shows you can have a great trip on the North-X with or without sunshine!
