Life in Taiwan: Week of March 8, 2010
Has anyone noticed how wet and cold northern Taiwan has been this year? I’m getting tired of it and I’m thinking that the next time we move, it’s towards the south. Maybe Fengyuan or Kaohsiung.
Any thoughts as to what’s better for school, food, things to do and most importantly, roads to bike?

If the cold and wet winter in northern Taiwan reminds you too much of the dreadful weather in Puget Sound, you should consider the year round sunny city of Tainan. It has a great university (Cheng Kung), more temples per sq km than anywhere in the world, and nice cycling down the coast to Kenting and over the mountains to Taitung.

Don’t forget that Tainan has a great couple of foodie streets that I like.
Thanks!
