I went hunting Saturday. Hunting for, yet another, bike.

I got a little bit smarter in looking around this time and visited the biggest display of bicycles available in Taiwan via the 2010 Taipei International Cycle Show.

If you haven’t been to a real bike show before, wow is all that I can really say. There’s all kinds of great biking options and accessories to be worthy of mortgaging the house for.

During the show, I was able to decide what I’m finally going to attempt for my next bike.

700c wheelset
SRAM Rival or Shimano Tiagra or 105 gruppo
Flat bar with aero extensions
Stiff sluminum or steel frame
Build under 9.0 kilograms

With that said, there’s basically two options from amongst the new bikes seen and what I’ve ridden in the past 6 months. Over the next week or two, I’ll be giving in depth looks at the Giant Rapid 0 and a Salsa Casseroll custom build.
