Life in India: Week of August 16, 2010
Another week of continuing to seem like that all I do in India is…
- eat
- commute
- work
- wonder how Peichi will survive
Friday night, Mark Caltonhill, British author and cycling buddy, reached Gurgaon after 1,900 kilometers since leaving Mumbai. He’s hanging out with me before onto Ladahk, 1,500 kilometers away. On this ride, he’s gotten weedy and I’m getting envious as I help stuff him full of starchy goodies.
On Sunday, we rode with Deva around Delhi before venturing into Sakar Bazaar. Talk about a near life changing event, that’s not to be repeated any time soon.
Thankfully come Sunday afternoon, I moved into my Gurgaon apartment.

The food looks really good. You look thinner than when you arrived there. I have the picture of you and Mark on my desktop screen. Miss you and Peichi.

Mom, not really sure on being lighter, but the belly does seem slightly smaller and my face more taunt. I’m very glad to be biking again. I’ll be interviewing a cook and maid tonight. That might upset the weight loss, if so, more biking.

See if they will commute here to work for us too. Just kidding.

I doubt on the commuting as most are wanting full-time live in. I hired a live-in housekeeper last night. She’ll start with shopping and fixing me dinner on Sunday. I’ll write up more later.
