Life in India: Week of September 6, 2010
Some call it a life of hardship, I’m calling it a life of differences. More differences than I can count.
How can so many people live closely together and get along for the most part, still amazes me.
Yesterday, while trying to find a painter for the second week to handle my servants quarters, I embarrassingly lost my temper to yet another culture difference.
I should be past such arrogance, but I find I’m not.
To live successfully, fruitfully and profitably in India; you have to have help. Getting that help to be reliable and trustworthy is difficult.
Fortunately, coworker Ritesh and housekeeper Christina are amongst the God sent helpers that keep my daily life manageable while navigating India’s myriad ways.
Happily, this upcoming week takes me closer to joining Peichi in Europe, bicycling on puncture resistant kit and opening Srijan’s new Signature Towers office.
