Getting Packed…
I’ve uploaded a few pictures for getting my backpack packed. I must be getting better in my old age since I only packed and repacked the bag four times so far, heck there’s still another five days before I leave.
For this trip, I finally broke down and bought a Marmot DriClime wind shirt to replace a Marmot PreCip parka and fleece jacket. The new DriClime shirt packs smaller than the PreCip parka it replaces and is warm to boot. Admitted, if I was staying in a rainy spot, I’d take full PreCip gear with me.
Happily, I bought my last technical button down shirt on Friday, a very nice Sportif pine colored shirt with full pit-zips and tricked-out pockets. Sadly, I went to REI to price check my purchases to find 2001 Ex Officio shirts and pants on sale. I wanted to cry, I want complete Ex Officio gear, but never bought any because I thought it was too expensive. Now it was inexpensive… Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to travel and work harder to wear my other stuff out before I buy Ex Officio next time around.
Oh darn, Korea, China, Vietnam, South America, I’ve come to see, learn, help, and share… hmm… think you can help me use my clothes?
It’s late and finals week in school. Gotta go, can’t spend my entire life online. Have a great week!
