Life in Taiwan: April 25, 2011: Riding around Kaohsiung
I’m not sure how it happened, but my camera snuck out of its pocket and took photos a couple of weeks ago.
After 10 years of being in and out of Taiwan, I stopped waiting for Peichi to help me visit Show Shan mountain. The casual ride up the hill and resulting temple visit and views were worth it. Howdy to Frank, a local who speaks 4-5 languages and though older, still quite spry and young looking. Hmm… I’m thinking about joining the educated temple folks.
While window shopping with Peichi, I found brand new Shimano 105 STIs on a drop bar for 7,500 NT, to include installation. Previous quotes were 13,000 NT. As such, my Masi is now a sporting road bike. As I figured though, the bike fitting is even worse, but average speed on my ChengQing Lake-澄清湖 loop ride are 10% faster. Now what could I do with a proper fitting bike?
To Mom and mom, happy mother’s day. I’m going to stay healthy and go biking from Hualian to Taidong again. This time, with more hills.
