Biking Taiwan: Linkou, 105, 北79, 15, 108 loop

I went out for casual ride today, figuring I’d go along a new road and retry 108. By the end of the ride, I had some new lessons and thoughts to keep in mind..

Going through Taipingling-太平嶺 is a cool ride. The place magically reminds me of being in the Mediterranean.
If an interested, unplanned path comes along, take it!
On hot days, bring more water.
On hot days, ride slower.
No matter how much I like riding 108 up, the trucks and exhaust are enough of a deterrent to make this ride no longer enjoyable.
Taiwanese folks are extremely helpful in giving directions even if your Chinese speaking skills are barely above “我叫Michael”.
