I took a few days to go bike riding down Taiwan’s East coast with Jeff Miller and Michael Turton’s familiy. We all meet up in Hualian-花蓮 Saturday night for dinner and hostel stay. Sunday morning around 5 AM we pulled out till coming into Shihtipeng about 3 PM. Monday we rode to Dulan and Tuesday onto Taitong-台東 to catch the train back up to Hualien and then Taipei-台北.
Despite the quite warm, bright weather a good time was had by all. We rode about 180 kilometers following highway 11 from Hualian to Taitung. I really enjoyed the ride and wouldn’t mind going back to spend a couple of days in Donghe to escape.
