I told you all I did in India was eat, sleep, bike and work. There’s me doing 3 at once.
Beyond that, this past week was quite memorable for the great hunt of 700c x 35 tires for Mark C’s onward journey north. Sadly, nothing showed up except some 38s. Still, Mark reports no flats for a couple of days worth of riding. Therefore the new tires are doing the trick.
Me however, isn’t having the same luck. 6 as in six. That’s how many flats I had last week. I’m down to two brand new tubes despite having bought 4 more while here. Ugh…
Wednesday morning, I commuted up to Connaught Place from Gurgaon. I paced pretty well for getting into downtown Delhi at 7:30 AM. It only took 70 minutes to cover the 26 kilometers of which, half had me covered in mud and the other, being soaked.
Friday found me finally becoming sick in India. Some minor stomach troubles, but more of a sore, scratchy and irritated throat. Given that I listen and converse in my job more than code these days, I spent it at home. Luckily, my Srijan coworkers know how to use the phone and get a hold of me when pressing matters come up.
One other minor, really major change in my life, I have a live-in maid now. I no longer have to suffer my own cooking. Thank you for rescuing me from myself Christina. I’m sorry about the stinky biking clothes on a near daily basis.
For fellow Delhites, has any one ridden the bus from Qutub Minar to downtown Delhi? If so, what’s the schedule? Is it a green or red bus?
PS: I’m turning 38 tomorrow. If you’re feeling generous, I’d like some Whole Foods smoked king salmon, Frost Top root beer and Skippy Super Crunchy peanut butter.
