Michael Turton and I headed past Tainan to help with Typhoon Marokot recovery efforts Thursday and Friday. The long story, short is that we delivered over 30,000 NT ($900 US) in donations as cleaning supplies to the Hsinying and Pingting distribution centers. Typhoon Morakot up here in the north side of Taiwan didn’t seem too bad. However, the southern parts got pounded with over 2 meters of rainfall in a couple of days. This has lead to severe flooding, mudslides and infrastructure collapses. See photos at Typhoon Morakot | 88水災圖片情報.
