It’s a big ship in a small world after all.
The verdict is in and it’s unanimous, if you’ve got a spare $ 1,500 USD, take Costa Fortuna’s week long cruise of Venice onto Greece and Dubrovnik Croatia.
Though our inside cabin was the cheapest and had no window, we didn’t miss much of anything that folks in the most expensive penthouse had. We still got to sit next to them everywhere else on the ship.
Food whether buffet or sit down, was definitely 4-star. Nightly theater performances were fantastic. Going to bed late and waking early to work out while watching new locales pass by made for the easiest 2,400 miles of travel we’ve ever done.
Though we were in 6 ports for only 4 to 8 hours, only Dubrovnik at 4 hours felt like it wasn’t enough. While it took a little effort to get away from the crowds, it wasn’t bad.
To keep additional ship expenses at a minimum, we asked for pitchers of water during sit down meals, bought boxed wine while in port to drink in the cabin, avoided excursions and walked to port entrances for local buses or trains.
With all of the cruise said and done, we’re looking forward to our next cruise. Destination, unknown.
Peichi and I are in Vienna this week. Meanwhile, enjoy these cruise life shots.
Happy to see your pictures, especially the one of you both in Greece. Looking forward to more pictures. Love you both.
Glad you’ve liked the photos. I wanted to get something quick and easy up before being offline again for another week. I’ve got most photo sets partially loaded, but there’s tons of writing to follow up with. Phew, some vacation…
