In September 1997, when I was a explosive ordnance disposal technician, EOD, bomb squad, in the USAF, I deployed to Sheik Isa Air Base in Bahrain for Operation Southern Watch. It was a hot, sweaty and hard-working experience, but one of my favorites.
I wouldn’t mind going back to Bahrain.
