A Recommendation for Michael Cannon
September 5, 2000
To whom it may concern:
I have had the pleasure of working with Michael Cannon for most of this year. I hired Michael to help me as an html programmer for Virgo Internet LLC. It became apparent that Michael had more to offer than front-end coding skills. Michael brings a can do attitude to his work while his expectations of himself require an employer to take notice. In a matter of weeks Michael had won the title he wanted, Operations Manager. It was not long before I felt comfortable having Michael write estimates and handle project management tasks, including direct contact with my clients and vendors. Michael is now a respected member of the constituency that revolves around Virgo Internet.
Michael’s strongest trait is his character. He has had life experience and has drawn the right conclusions from it. I trust Michael with my three and a half year old son as I trust him with my checkbook and with my customers. The time he does not put into his work, his schooling and his relationship is almost exclusively reserved for his volunteer work for Swedish Hospital and an outdoor trails organization.
I have come to count on Michael for two additional things, which I had not expected from him. He is helping to establish the structure of my business. As I conceive it he helps me create it. As well he is good with information. He has generated several very useful executive briefs for me.
Virgo Internet, LLC is a rapidly growing concern and Michael has made himself a important part of that process. The Open Door Education Foundation would do very well to invest in Michael’s future. He has a lot to offer.
